Royal is a 1st cousin of Robert Kool Bell & Ronald Khalis Bell of “Kool & the Gang”. He was added as a 2nd guitarist in 1979.  Royal stayed with the band until the band’s new manager – Astor Val Hackett – introduced • James “JT” Taylor • to the group.  Traveling on the road with 13 members on stage was not economically beneficial to all.  So, Royal haply left KATG in 1981 and formed Bayyan International’ Productions with brothers and production partner’s Adil & Amir Bayyan – Bayyan Internationale’ became a HOT production company throughout the 80’s, and proved to be profitable and smart…

• Royal mastered the task of a Musician, Songwriter, Producer, Music Supervisor, Personal Manager, Executive Brand Consultant with Various Entertainers and Film Projects…

• The Grammy Award nominee has currently received a 2023 – EMMY Award – for his works and participation as a guitarist on SKIP MARTIN’s – “People Get Ready” Tribute, which features multiple acclaimed artists such as Stevie Wonder, Ray Parker Jr., Taylor Dane, Robert Kool Bell, Alyson Williams, AZ-YET, Tony Terry, Dougie Fresh, Howard Hewett, and many more.
